About this job opening

We are looking for an enthusiastic food preparer for our dynamic and growing production facility in Haulerwijk.

As a Preparer, you ensure that raw materials and semi-finished products are prepared on time, efficiently, and in accordance with established quality standards. You report on daily operations to the line and department supervisors and play a crucial role in the production process. Thanks to your precision and process control, production runs safely, smoothly, and according to schedule. In addition, you assist the all-round operators in keeping an overview of the line and can act quickly and appropriately in the event of deviations. You may also be assigned as an all-round operator. This position is primarily a day shift role. During harvest season or busy periods, you may temporarily work staggered shifts or rotating shifts.

🔹Productivity

  • Preparing for production so that all products can be manufactured on time and in the planned quantities;
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements;
  • Performing first-line maintenance;
  • Resolving minor malfunctions.

🔹 Safety

  • Reporting hazardous situations and contributing ideas for solutions;
  • Following procedures and work instructions;
  • Monitoring and ensuring a safe workplace for yourself and your team.

🔹 Quality

  • Performing and documenting process checks;
  • Taking appropriate action and escalating issues when deviations occur;
  • Contributing to improvement and optimization projects;
  • Collaborating on the optimization of cleaning processes;
  • Ensuring order and cleanliness in the workplace.

What we offer

  • A competitive salary;
  • Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Fruit and Vegetable Processing Industry;
  • 25 days of vacation (based on full-time employment);
  • 9.5 days of annual leave (based on full-time employment);
  • 8% vacation pay;
  • 4.5% year-end bonus in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement;
  • Pension plan at BPL;
  • Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer.

Your skills

  • Possesses an MBO 3 level of work and thinking, preferably with training in food science and/or process engineering;
  • Relevant work experience in the food industry is preferred (at least 3–5 years);
  • Speaks both Dutch and English;
  • A forklift operator's license is preferred;
  • You recognize what needs to be done and respond proactively and decisively;
  • You work in a structured and systematic manner;
  • You can work independently, but you can also play a valuable role on a team;
  • You are able to handle multiple tasks at once;
  • You have a passion for food.
