Raw food sets limitations for heating food. Higher temperatures can break down nutrients, vitamins and minerals. The raw food diet generally holds 48 °C as the maximum temperature for heating food. Machandel’s biodynamic product range contains various products that fit within a raw food diet, such as our coconut oil, tahini and almond paste. We roast the almonds in our drying room at low temperatures, evaporating the moisture and retaining the original flavour. Our coconut oil is obtained through cold pressing and heating up to a maximum of 45 °C.
